Recruiting in India
India's regime for Foreign Direct Investment has been considerably simplified and liberalized and is now open for foreign investment with the exception of certain areas (e.g. railways, print media, retail and agriculture). Due to the sheer size of its economy India has attracted and will continue to attract many investments by foreign companies in for example manufacturing and assembly, IT, business processing, and R&D.
Furthermore, many foreign investors are evaluating alternative investments, such as venture capital investments in Indian companies. Venture capital investment in India is rising steadily, with a boost coming from US and EU VC firms that see substantial promise in Indian companies.
